2010 Holiday Bowl Recap

Alumni and fans from across the country joined us on the sold-out official University of Nebraska Holiday Bowl trip to San Diego, Dec. 28-31, 2010. The tour, offered by the Nebraska Alumni Association in partnership with the Nebraska Athletic Department, featured deluxe accommodations, a Football Friday event in the Gaslamp Quarter, game tickets and a pre-game event in the San Diego Chargers Power Party Zone.

Our Wednesday version of Football Friday, on Dec. 29, drew more than 700 fans to the Hard Rock Hotel where they were entertained by former Huskers Matt Davison and Tommie Frazier and emcee Greg Sharpe. The pre-game Husker Huddle drew 1,300 fans for a Hawaiian-inspired barbecue buffet, great giveaways and a live pre-game broadcast by the Husker Sports Network, featuring Greg Sharpe, Matt Davison, Lane Grindle and Brendan Stai. Special guests included UNL Chancellor Harvey Perlman, Athletic Director Tom Osborne, NU President J.B. Milliken and NU Foundation president Clarey Castner, as well as former Huskers Tommie Frazier, Darin Erstad and Jerrell Pippens.
