Spaghetti Splash - Remembering Bobby

In May of 2003, a car accident took the life of Nebraska student Bob Foehlinger. Bobby left a legacy at the University as a featured twirler in the Cornhusker marching band, a motivational speaker, and a respected campus leader. For months following Bob's death, the many UNL students who knew and loved him talked about building a permanent memorial on campus to honor Bob's memory. They wanted to build a fountain, symbolic of Bob's "bubbly personality." At the same time, the alumni association was drafting plans to redesign the Holling Garden, adding a water feature to enhance the premises. What a perfect opportunity. After a few meetings of the minds, the plan was set in motion. The Student Alumni Association Board of Directors, of which Bob was president at the time of his death, is overseeing the fundraising effort. Efforts are progressing nicely, and yet more help is always appreciated.
