WHEN CAN I AUDITION?
WHERE DO I START?

-
Prepare and memorize ONE ballad and ONE up-tempo song to sing/play.
-
Prepare to sight read music and do vocalizations, as well as pitch matching exercises
-
Prepare a short musical resume, including names/contact information for three references
-
Set yourself up for success by looking your personal best. Women should wear a dress, skirt and sweater, or blouse and slacks. Men should wear a coat and tie, sweater and slacks, or shirt and tie. You never get a second chance to make a first impression, and we want to see and hear you at your best.
-
You may bring your own accompanist, or one will be provided for you.
-
Taped or pre-recorded accompaniment tracks are not encouraged.
Following PART ONE of the audition process, you will be contacted regarding a potential invitation to participate in PART TWO (by invitation only) of the audition process (which automatically includes the returning members of Scarlet and Cream). PART TWO takes place on Saturday, May 3rd, 2008 at the Wick Alumni Center
Scarlet and Cream is a scholarship opportunity for each singer, band member, and technician, and your scholarship money is applied directly to your tuition and fees.
