The Nebraska Ring is the only ring officially recognized by the University and is copyrighted to protect it from duplication.
The design of the official class ring will not change - it is the one common bond between those who have graduated in the past and those who will graduate this year and in years to come. Students created the design as a compilation of past designs dating back to 1930 and the ASUN Student Government has accepted this as the University’s official student and alumni ring.
Nebraska Ring eligibility is reserved exclusively for those students who have completed at least 53 credit hours and have achieved junior-year standing in their respective majors. All University of Nebraska graduates at any level are also eligible.
As a special feature, each ring will bear its own registration number. This number will allow us to identify the owner in the event that the ring is ever lost and returned to us. As long as the University is kept informed of a current address, we will know where to return a ring that is found.
