The mission of Huskers for Higher Education is to provide a statewide organization of Nebraska citizens who are united to raise public awareness about the importance of higher education for the state’s future.

Who Can Help?

Anyone living within the state of Nebraska with a desire to help the university can join the program. The only other requirement is to have a current e-mail address. Because our calls to action happen quickly and the number of volunteers is so large, we must rely on e-mail to send messages.

How Can You Help?

We are not asking you to be lobbyists for the University. We WILL NOT tell you how to vote on issues. However, the Nebraska Alumni Association is dedicated to providing you with clear, concise and result-oriented information about how legislative and policy incentives will impact -- positively or negatively -- the university, the state and our future leaders -- today's students. We don't require a certain amount of time per month. Your involvement will most likely take place during the legislative or election cycle, where we may call on you to take action, but it is up to you to decide if you agree with the bill or issue and how you wish to proceed.
